Assuming the P10 teams stay together then the $/team will determine everything. If the new B12 media rights deal is significantly > $/team than the P10 then you are in trouble.
UA, A-State, Utah & CU will obviously be invited to the B12 if they don't diminish the $/team. Maybe Ducks & Doggies also.
Just hope that the new P10 deal is only slightly less (if any) $/team than the B12 is.
I don't see your new deal being > $/team than ours.

I think the media deals will be pretty similar. I also Think you are more likely to see a shorter term deal for the PAC then previous contracts. More like 5-7 years then 10-15 year deals.

I think it's going to require a leap of faith by a network, to some degree. The Pac-12 networks were so poorly distributed that there's not really good data to indicate viewership beyond the top 4 or 5 teams. Looking at what's available, there's really not much reason for the B12 to want Arizona or Colorado, they don't appear to draw anything. But, is that because there's really nobody interested, or is it because the major networks didn't carry their games...so nobody could watch them?

Major networks didn't carry the Cougs, we still found the P12N somewhere and watched.

Somehow, AZ and Colo fans care even less about football than CA fans. I'm sure there's some recency bias baked in there too.

We had more ESPN & Fox games than UA and CU. The Apple CUps have been on Fox, and those have been 3 or 4 of our top 5 games for number of viewers.

Exactly half of our regular season games in 2021 were on ESPN or Fox networks. Pac-12 carried Utah State, Portland State, @Utah, @Cal, Oregon State, and Arizona. Fox and FS1 had USC, BYU, ASU, and UW. ESPN took Stanford and Oregon.

Interesting article from Wilner this morning on how the Pac 12 fills a great time spot in the evening programing for ESPN. As much as we may dislike, Thursday, Friday, and later Saturday games, the West Coast is the only game in town at that time slot, so there maybe more value to that time than many of us realize.
