The qb looks like Connor Halliday

Doesn't go through progressions at all. LOCKS on to one guy. I see more Gunnar Cruz. Halliday had a very quick release and his film said Pac-12.

Oh… in th highlights are you saying he locked in on one receiver they weren’t open and got lucky completing it. Or they were open and anyone could complete that pass ?

He played in what many people consider to be the toughest league in the Nation. As far as him "locking onto receivers," we'll see him practicing soon enough. I've heard way too many times about can't miss high school kids who go through their progressions, make all the throws, etc. only to see them flame out.

It is hard to guess how long (if ever) it will take for a kid to absorb the speed of the game and learn to go through progressions quickly. That is one of the major differentiators between successful P5 QB's and others...more important than arm strength, mobility and pretty much anything else other than pure leadership.

I guess that is my question with small clips . Maybe it is a pre snap read where he has one on one coverage no help over top and his receiver beats the fender off the ball .

We shall see if he can mature into a good college qb .
