There is a football God....

Karma = Bitch
Normally I don't wish an injury on any of these kids but in this case I'll gladly make an exception.

I read that last night and immediately thought karma. I don’t mind him missing the rest of the season because he was going to hurt someone with his cheap shots.

You never root for a players injury but certainly can chalk this up to karma and doesn’t make me lose any sleep. Gustin is a dirty MFer cheap shot artist.

Now if only Larry Scott could have his toungue ripped off in a freak Kitchen Aid mixer licking accident so we didn’t have to listen to his bullshit anymore...

I never take joy in a player's injury, Gustin included. Can't argue the karma comments, but I get no joy from this.

Larry Scott's tongue, on the other hand...90 has an idea there.

I agree about no joy but I have no sympathy for the guy either. He could have injured Menshew and the other quarterback from the week before ending their seasons or make them miss some games with his cheap shots. I don’t mind good clean hard hits but his style of play is not necessary.

When i played competitive sports i was always disappointed if the opposing teams best players did not play. I always wanted to play against the best competition available. it made a victory more enjoyable and complete with zero excuses

LC, I agree in general. But there were one or two real jerks on other teams in our league back in my high school years, and I held a special place in my heart for them. I don't know if I knew about Karma when I was in high school, but I knew the Golden Rule. And a decade later, living in Oklahoma and Texas, I learned the southern corollary to the Golden Rule: "What goes around, comes around". Karma in its truest form.

Just to clarify monikers:
LC = Loyal Coug (me). All knowing, all-seeing, brilliant, shining yet humble beacon of all that is right and good in Cougar Country and beyond. And just a fantastic guy who deserves MORE LIKES!

ElC = ElComanche..........

Please keep it straight. :eek:

On the post suggesting the deletion......I fall into 79's camp. I wouldn't hope for Gustin to get injured, but since he got away with a cheap shot on our QB that arguably cost us the game and he didn't suffer any consequences.......I view this as Karma stepping in and saying, "I got you covered on this". The guy obviously didn't learn anything by being suspended in the prior game and for the comment about wanting to play against their best guy......we done played them so who cares about that?

You mean there is a difference between you two?

:p:p:p

Gustin is done for the season with a broken ankle. YES!

Good. Normally, I don't wish injuries on players. But, I look at it this way: Sooner or later that idiot was going to cause a serious injury to someone. The Pac12 made it clear they weren't going to do anything. So the Great Arbiter of Justice, or whoever you believe in, had to step in and protect the rest of the teams.
