5/22 in the 2-deep are seniors on offense with 4 starters.

6/22 2-deep are seniors on defense with 5 being starters.

According to ourlads.com

This seems young to me.

I'd like to be optimistic on the OL. Dieu, Hilborn, Kylany, Fa'amoe and Tialavea are all back and will be fifth year seniors.

With NIL, being young is no longer a metric by which to look into the future. The big question is besides graduation, how many come back? Dickert did a great job of keeping players around this season, be interesting to see what magic he can pull off after the end of this season. The portal opens up for 3 weeks in December, and then again for two weeks in April. Until then you just don't know what you have.

Mateer is likely going to leave. At least I think he will. Same with Parker. Dickert is also going to be contacted.

I think Mateer will stay, as long as he's got his local NIL. He may portal out his Senior year, unless of course he's offered 7 figures.
Right now he's got a new truck from Brotherton, a sweet Northern Quest NIL deal, and I think a couple of other NIL deals.

No doubt Dickert will be poached. 100%.

I have a feeling Dickert is going to take the wait-and-see approach if anything. Look at all the massive changes that have gone on in just the last 3-4 years. I agree that Mateer will do exactly that unless he feels he can do more here and get similar NIL money by staying one last year.

You forgot that Mateer has his choice of hot WSU coeds 24/7. If that guy isn't getting laid every night, it's because he's too tired from practice or games. You see the abrasions on his left arm and shoulder in the postgame interview?

Dickert? I dunno. He's got 3 presumably young kids. He's making close to $3M a year.

If were thinking about Dickert leaving for another program, where's another fit that's better? Not much jumped out on this list of "coaches on the hot seat". Maybe Purdue or Cal if they open? I know Dickert showed up on lists last season, but none (Nebraska, Wisconsin, etc.) really seemed realistic IMO.

I don't see any among likely openings either. Purdue is likely the best possibility. Dickert is a midwest guy and I always have my eye primarily on that area with him. I hear you regarding last year but think Indiana may have been realistic if our season hadn't fallen apart like it did. Cignetti is absolutely killing it there, obviously. If I recall correctly, Michigan State was looking pretty realistic, but then the fortunes of WSU and OSU diverged and they wound up going with Smith.

If we go 11-1 he’s going to be a consideration for openings. Fortunately he’s still got the 702 yard defensive performance from two years ago to answer for, so he probably is a better fit at Pullman High than Purdue.

The uw mutts may have an opening! LOL

That would cost dub a lot. He's making $7.75 w/ 6 years left on his contract. Pretty sure he gets a mulligan year 1 even if they were to lose out. I'm good with Fisch sticking on muttlake.

Yeah, good point that Michigan State did look realistic before the slide last season. Not a lot of smoke so far this year, but who knows what's happening behind the scenes.

Generally speaking, Cal and Purdue are coaching graveyards.

Eh. Wilcox has been able to float in mediocrity at Cal for quite some time. He’s gotta be one of the longest tenured coaches in FBS.
