- gun the ball from low percentage shots
- watch the other team dribble by you

This is Idaho. Our talent is better.

Yeah, just like last year...a poor shooting team is jacking up way too many threes. 5-30 just ain't going to cut it. It's apparent to me that if Lacy isn't shooting well, we don't win. Glad to see another strong game from Hawk, but no other big men are helping at all.

Glad Cougar

Simply a lack of quality players. They just lost to the #269 team, at home.

Railey, Cheatum, Boese, DKD, and Longrus are really not Pac-12 players. Jury is still out on Dunbar and Davis.

Johnson is truly a mystery. He's supposed to be very good, just not seeing it now.

Pleasantly surprised by Hawkinson, and Redding and Iroegbu show promise.

Long, long season ahead for this basketball program.

Yeah there were only 4-5 D1 players on the entire roster. People thought that i was exaggerating when i said this last year. Now it is readily apparent. Kent is lucky that Hawkinson through hard work has made himself into a decent D 1 player. The table and cupboard was bare. Kent needs to start Nedding, since none of the other players has a clue on what a PG needs to do. IT makes for painfully slow starts. He should also start to play one of the other frosh at the PG position.

Kent already starts Redding....and he's been starting at the point for most of the season. Haven't you been following this team?

Too early to write off his first batch of recruits, but only Redding at this point is getting serious minutes. The others either aren't ready or will never be ready.

Only one team in the conference has a losing record so far. Guess who?

Glad Cougar

I did not get to see the game last night. I live far away and i will not be able to see all the games. The announced starting lineups did not have Nedding starting. I have seen a couple.of games and i will probably fly in for a couple of the PAC 12 games if the cougs show improvement.I am looking at next year for a better ball club. But the cougs, if they tighten up their defense and people play to their strengths can still be a competitive ball club,They probably will not do well on the road but may upset a few teams at home.I would love to see them beat UCLA and Oregon

If Kent is half the coach guru you make him out to be Elsi, the LAST thing he should be doing is listening to YOUR advice, right?

shouldn't you spend your time trying to figure out what the guru is doing and why?

He is not my"guru" . I just wonder what are the real reasons a few of you guys want to hogtie him and run him out of town? He is basically playing with the players Bonehead left him. You guys who seemingly know jack about basketball are pointing the finger at the wrong coach. The talent on the team was bad and the best player graduated. The guards from last years' team think that they should play one on one ball. The concept of team ball and a motion offense seems foreign to them. Kent deserves far better than the stuff you are trying to lay at his doorstep.Kent has a good resume and is not a reincarnation of the D 111 coach who just exited left. Some posters seemingly want ugly ball with slow athletes who cannot jump.

Our offense looked great tonight! We hit shots that so far this year we have missed, which is basically the same as last year. There were several guys tonight that had their best game tonight and hopefully this is a little bit of a wake-up call.

FYI: We are not running a motion offense. Way to much standing around and not enough screening away from the ball. To me it seems Kent wants to fast break into an early offense of drivers and cutters with 3 pt shooters in position on the perimeter. If we don't get a shot ( which when/if he gets the right players here will be more often than not) he then seems to go into a dribble drive offense with pick and rolls and pick and pops and the drivers looking for shooters spotted up on the perimeter. It is very similar to Callipari's offense at Kentucky and what Few has been running as of late at Gonzaga. With the right players it will be an exciting brand of basketball to watch. Also players love it and are familiar with it since most AAU teams run it because of its effectiveness and simplicity. Of course at the college level there is more set plays and reads that the players need to be able to make. Those reads are what I think our guys are having the most trouble with right now.

They were way under coached last year.It takes a while for guys who are basically able to free lance to get used to the idea of organized basketball. One hopes that they adjust and the team improves in time for conference play. As the players adjust you will see more movement as the guards start to hit the players with passes in their favorite scoring areas. I see where Kent wants to use Dunbar more as he gains confidence. Kent knows that Ike cannot play PG as you guys had him starting at PG. It is basically knowing basketball and which players have talent for different positions. The team needs two point guards and the two frosh as predicted will get the minutes there. as the season progresses.

You keep telling people they don't know basketball then say the stupidest things. The problem is the players DON"T KNOW HOW TO FREELANCE!!!!! Last year they ran a route offense that was very structured and designed for Lacy to score just like it was for Brock and Thompson before him. The problem is they are still learning how to read what the defense is giving them and how to take advantage of it, Kent wants all the players to have the freedom to just play basketball, thats what his whole system is based on. The players need to read the situation rather than ....I run to this spot and set a screen, then I run over here and try to get open for a shot, then I.....ect...ect ...ect. Even Dickau mentioned it on the broadcast and he has seen us play twice.

i guess that by the end of the season the Bonehead had slowed the game down to where most his players were afraid to shoot anf t. I stopped watching the cougs after about 3 games last season. .Your man first said that he was going to run and press. Geez with the slow players he had and no real PG?? He was like a fish out of water who was desperately trying to hold on I told people that they would get destroyed in PAC 12 ball and they were. I remember that a few posters here thought that i was being too rough on the Bonehead However he did get destroyed in conference play. I cannot understand after such a dismal season and after an attempt to switch streams, it is unbelievable to get on Kent. He did not really have a cohesive continuous basketball philosophy last year.. No wonder his players were confused.. But in retrospect i should have treated him the way a few posters here are trying to treat Kent. I was too easy on that guy.

I want Kent to be successful. Unlike you Elsie, I'm not telling Kent how to do his job. I will judge his time at WSU by his results over time, while he's here.

The rest of your hyperbole is just the voices in your head.

soooo... you made all of those cutting personal comments of players and coaches after EVERY game, without even watching any of the games?
