I just can't believe what has happened. Kliatvkoff needs to be fired tomorrow. What a F-up that hire was. Schulz needs to go as well. WSU is so F-ed. Mtn West at best, maybe just downgrade to the Big Sky.

I just can't get my arms around all this bailing over TV money from institutions that bring in a billion dollars a year in tuition, state money, and donations. Unbelievable.

I understand people wanting heads to roll, but if everyone is truly honest with themselves, they'll admit that nothing Schulz/Chun could've done was gonna somehow magically make WSU desirable to the B12 or B1G.

It's not like these spots were first come first serve. There is No alternate reality where we were ever gonna be included in the new football world order.

The sooner people accept that reality, the quicker they'll let college football go

And I'll add that I have selfishly been waiting for this college football implosion since the move away from the original bowl system to the BCS. THAT, is when this all got set in motion.
Getting the NCAA to sanction USC was the death blow to West coast football. If you look at all the people involved in the BCS move and the people inside the NCAA who pushed to have USC sanctioned, they are all attached to universities either east of the Mississippi or south of the Mason Dixon.

That's my grand conspiracy theory. I'm convinced USC's dominance was the reason they basically executed a takeover of CFB. They got together with the networks, created the BCS, and TV has been in control ever since

When it comes to the trickle down to the Colorados, Arizona’s, and WSUs, I don’t think that applies though. I hope ESPN proves me wrong and ensures WSU has a home in the Big12. When it comes to TV numbers we are far more deserving of an invite than CU or AZ. But here we are.

Why would ESPN ensure anything for us? We may have better viewership than CU/AZ, but our metrics are maxed out. We offer zero growth potential. There is no mechanism available, short of winning multiple CFP championships, that will make WSU any bigger than it is.

Arizona is a top-5 basketball brand. Their viewership in football and men’s basketball combined dwarfs ours. Phoenix/Tucson is also significantly more desirable to coaches, players, and alumni than Pullman is.

Our basketball history is really going to make it difficult to get us into the Big12. They already had a great bb conference and they just added Arizona. I see them being more intersted in SDSU for the west coast/so cal exposure plus their hoops and UConn to expand Eastern footprint and another great hoops program.

Unfortunate truth right here. Does us no favors

Arizona is a top 5 basketball brand?

Let's see...

No way top 5. Maybe in the West, but not nationwide. Zona's last time in the Final Four was over 20 years ago.
