Time to use this weekend to our (fund raising) advantage

Tickets on Stubhub are crazy high. I'm in section 6 and I see tickets going to nearly 500/each. I guess I can sell my parking pass too.

If I were in charge of WSU fund development (I am not) I would use the raise the flag theme to talk about hitting our fund raising goals. Set the bar with other Pac-12 schools. Use every dollar to raise the flag higher.

We need the casual fans -- who will rush to Pullman this week to get on the Gameday set -- to invest in the program so we can make this a regular tradition. We need all the students -- 1/4 of whom left at halftime of the Utah game -- to know you need to stay and support your team.

Make it easy. Text "WSU flag" to XXXX and give $20 to the raise the flag campaign.

For those of us that have been around for a while, we've seen the highs and lows of Cougar football. Let's keep the highs going. Let's pay Leach to stay around. Let's pay his staff to stay around. Let's build into his contract that if he retires from WSU we are naming the stadium after him.

You had me until you mention the stadium naming... I reserve that for someone willing to pay millions of dollars a year to have that stadium named after them. I'm a CML fan. but that isn't the place for his name.

My guess the requests to Stubhub are coming most likely from the Oregon fans. As of 14 days ago this game wasn't a sellout

This game wasn't sold out at the end of the Duck/fusky game, let alone two weeks ago. I thought I would need two extra tickets and could still get seats together right after that game.

We might have to be creative to keep Leach in Pullman...and it won't be money that will have him leave. It will be his coaching legacy, IMO.
