Sac State's "$50MM" NIL is contingent on them entering the Pac 12. Can you connect the dots here? The reality is there were different options but there wasn't one that was perfect. Never is, but dome of the options were likely killers.

I get that you are mad and we all know that you believed in the reverse merger from the beginning. Regardless of how you feel though, and I mean this in the best possible way....but you are 100% wrong on this issue.

The reality is that everyone outside of the SEC and B1G is squeezing whatever they can from the current situation before the vampires in those two conferences finally break away...and part of that is creating the best situation for yourself in the long run. You aren't wrong that the Reverse Merger would have made things simpler and easier in the short term....but everyone knows that it would have been a short term solution that would be a loss in the long term, which is why it didn't happen.

The MWC is so desperate for teams that they took in UC Davis. UNLV is not laughing at us...they are pissed that they are now hitched to a joke of a conference that will be competing with the Sun Belt and MAC for being the most irrelevant in any given year. If our future Pac-12 partners win their lawsuit against the MWC (along with us), UNLV is going to be in a dire financial situation that has no solution but to eventually bail from the tattered remnants of the MWC. And that bowl game vs an ACC school is going to disappear after 2026.

Maybe Sacramento State is a viable solution....but I don't think any one of our future Pac-12 cohorts are regretting the decision to leave the MWC shitshow.
