Arizona offered him when the Coach was Miller, who knew that 1-3 years of probation was forthcoming. The new coach quickly cut ties with him and thus we got him as a nice defensive specialist. If you can't score on this team you won't play. It is also highly likely that he will be a backup player at the 4 which is where Jaz played, not at the 3 spot. There you have to defend and board.
The ONLY REASON why Lloyd cut ties with Kim is THIS:
Arizona, Sean Miller, offered Kim along with the rest of the 4,5 stars, when he coukd have just offered another 4,5 star, instead of offering Kim.
That says that Arizona, Miller wanted Kim, and means Kim is good, otherwise Arizona, Kim woukdnt have offered Kim.
Now when Miller got fired for shady recruiting, etc.
Kim started looking elsewhere when Miller was fired.
When Lloyd was hired, he noticed Kim looking elsewhere, so Lloyd started looking elsewhere to protect Arizona in case Kim decommited.
When Lloyd did that, he found got Ballo, a 7-1 Center transfer from Gonzaga, that one of best centers in USA. Lloyd getting Ballo took Kim's spot, making Kim have to go looking elsewhere, where he then either chose, had to goto WSU.
If Kim had not looked elsewhere when Miller was fired, and had Kim stayed FIRMLY committed to Arizona, then Lloyd would not have started looking elsewhere to replace Kim, should Kim decide to decommit, and would not have found and gotten Ballo, and Kim would thus have likely still be with Arizona.
Its kind of like the Bamba situation.
By Bamba tweeting he likely sealed his fate.
By Kim deciding to look elsewhere after Miller was fired, he sealed his fate of going to WSU.
