UCLA 28, Cougs 32 at the half

So damn proud. The Pac 12 Champions. Has a great sound to it.

This has to be the golden age of women's sports at WSU. Basketball, soccer, volleyball and rowing are all outstanding. Great job all around from the President, the athletic department, the coaches and especially the players.

Just looked at the box score.

CLW and Bella combined 15-22, 44 points, 68% shooting.

Bella 8-11 shooting
CLW 7-11 (5-7) 3's

Amazing

I didn;t post during the game because I jinxed us during the USC game.

I just can't believe how far this team has come.

Bella was Shaq at the free throw line when she got here. 2 clutch free throws from her down the stretch.

And we did this without Motuga who has been an assassin with clutch 3 after clutch 3 this tournament.

So proud...and I am glad people are taking notice of this brand of ball we play. It is fun to watch.

Well, that was sure a lot of fun! Living in the Midwest (& not subscribed to the Pac-12 Network), I haven't been able to see the Women's team play this year. Thank you ESPN2. Wow, they are such a cohesive unit, well coached, and CLW played like a superstar. So did Bella. What a statement this team has made. Hoping for a #6 seed and continued success in the NCAA Tournament. Congrats Cougar Women!!

Glad Cougar

We have won 7 of our last 8 games. We might not get it, but I really see us as a 6-seed minimum and possibly a 5-seed.

> Disappointing finish. Bruins had this! Beat Furd and lose to a crappy WSU. Our team is so inconsistent, and with a championship on the line. <

So good. Don't let the door hit ya' in the bum next year.

Well, they’re consistent when they play us. They lost twice in the 2 weeks.

I'm love powdered blue tears.

I also didn't know that UCLA women was such a powerhouse that they can just show up and expect a win.

He should be proud of his team. They have a good team and a good coach. Smh

The one time UCLA beat the Cougars was when CL-W was away. Considering that game was in Pullman, if CL-W were there, WSU sweeps three straight from them. WSU is the better team.

Anyone who taped it or watches a rerun go to 2:20 left in the 4th when Bella hit CLW with a pass for a lay-up. Had to be the play of the game. CLW made a one-handed finger tip catch then changed hands in mid-air before laying it in.

That steal was clean by CLW. Shouldn’t have been a jump ball call.

F’ing Pac 12 refs. Same as it ever was
Just give thanks that the Cougettes were able to stay focused and fight through THREE bad calls at the end of the game. Yes, CLW stole that ball, only a too quick whistle makes it a tie-up. I was following it and was glad that we had the possession arrow as we got to the end, and we did need it.

Second bad call was saying that girl was shooting as she drove down the left side of the lane. call the foul, okay, but she was not in any kind of shooting motion or position until she was 2/3 of the way to the floor.

As already pointed out, Rice just slipped down, no way was there contact from CLW that caused it.

It is times and calls like this that make us bring up all the conspiracy theory talk as well as having to relive all the horrible calls from the past.

We SHALL overcome, we DID overcome!!!

I remember that, and think it was the best play of the game! Said so at the time. It looked simple, but really was a very athletic effort.

Yes, that play and the Astera steal which she dribbled down the court, backed out and threw a nice pass to Bela who was running the floor for 2.

Yes, and she made the lay up jumping of the wrong foot. Great body control

The other thing that is awesome about this PAC 12 Championship for the women's bball team, is it also will help Kami recruit, and not only help her recruit, etc, but it shows that a good coach like a Kami, and like Smith, altho no championship yet, that can recruit, win championships at WSU, and that WSU can be a semi good coaching semi destination job for the right coaches like Kami, Smith, etc.

Also not only will it help Kami recruit even better, it can help Smith, men's side, recruit better as Smith will probably try to cash in on the Women's success, by saying "Do you want to win a PAC 10/12 championship at WSU like the women did?"

I wouldn't be shocked, surprised if both the men's, and women's team started reeling in more 4 stars, even a 5 star, after this, especially how good Kami, Smith are at recruiting, and because of Kami having coached both Texas, WSU to Championships.

Yeah it was.

As an aside, I think the foreigners have changed the game significantly and have kinda done away with things we held sacred such as going off the correct foot on a layup.

Especially the European players. If I had a dollar for everytime I saw a European player go off the wrong foot.

Makes for a more interesting game imo
