Will/when will those horrendous cement gray helmets be retired? Also can some dimension be added to the logo to make it pop a little?

They won't be as long as Moos is around, they are part of his branding initiative. And no, dimension is a dated look from the late 90s/early 2000s.

I really liked the all white uniforms that we wore against Oregon. I hope to see that combo again this year.

I really like the all anthracite gray look, but the numbers really need a white background. They are much too difficult to make out as they are.

The all-grey unis are awful. If I never see them again, it'll be too soon.

I'm partial to crimson helmets and jerseys. You can switch up the pants if you want. When the other team gets first choice and we cannot use crimson, I prefer the white jerseys to the gray ones. The gray helmets are my least favorite.

I agree that the anthracite unis are abysmal. The numbers are illegible beyond 30 yards.

Replace grey helmets with a silver chrome helmet with silver or crimson chrome facemask. New age, yet retro in the sense that we use to have silver helmets. Replace anthracite numbers to make them more clearly visible.

I'd be happy with that.

What's interesting is that the "cement gray" helmets are probably the truest to our school colors. I agree that they don't really do it for me. The glossy finish on that gray just doesn't look right. I'd prefer a matte finish if I was king for a day and had to use them. As for the anthracite, using light gray letters with red trim would make the numbers legible. I don't like the anthracite gray jersey when paired with crimson pants because of the light grey stripe on the pants. It just doesn't look right.

I don't like the silver helmet simply because it isn't one of our colors.

I don't get it. When people say the current gray is more like the schools original color what is that based on? The colors now used were selected just several years ago and standardized by Moos in the rebrand, any hue of crimson or any gray could have been selected. The changing of school colors happens frequently at schools. The current colors were jointly decided by Nike and the AD based on the general guidelines of Crimson and Gray, OSU school colors are Scarlet and Gray, what color are their helmets?
