When I was a kid, I liked building those plastic models of navy ships. I remember I had one of the USS Arizona.
The grey of these helmets reminds me of those models.
Looks great, clean lines, contrast, haven't seen it used in a very long time and its something "new" for the young guys.
I like it!
Make it happen Moos!
Go to the script on the helmets as well. Change up the 10 year negative cloud hanging over the program.I actually like this combo. But I really like the dark gray/anthracite gray. They just need to put a white background behind the numbers.

You have got it. Battleship grey. There is a reason navies paint their vessels that color: it is blah and does not draw attention. Don't get me wrong, I like our school's colors but it is hard to make a dull battleship grey look flashy. We could fudge the issue and use chrome/silver helmets but I'm not too keen on that either. Too many schools out there using helmets that look like Christmas tree decorations. The only solution that I can think of, other than fudging the grey to a lighter or darker shade, is to make the logo as flashy as possible on the dull helmets. It really is dull...

So the gray helmets are going to be around another year, really?
