UPDATE: Former WSU LB Monroe transfers to Akron...

Wow. Kid really loved playing for the previous regime....

Wish him the best of luck.

What happened to all the other pac 12 offers? Love the quote that the previous staff wanted to win. Yeah...but they couldn't. They were good guys though!

best of luck to the young man. He has his degree and i hope he finds playing time. However,he may have to forgo his plans for the NFL.

Akron wants to win? They lost to Buffalo 55-24 and were 5-7. Good luck to him there, but it's clear he was another prospect that wasnt a Pac-12 player. He never had the speed for thus conference.

Feel good for Mr.Monroe

He chose to be a Coug and contributed. He got his degree and now he gets to finish out his college career at a school that he can contribute. Best of luck. This guy always competed and should have our thanks for being a Coug.

Ironically, he really never played for the previous regime. He was going to play his true freshman year, but he had a season ending injury in the first game against Idaho State in 2011. He has played the last three years under the current staff.

he might be taking CJ MIzzell's spot in the lineup. I wondered if he talked to CJ before transferring.

I wish him well too. I don't like what he says in this article. But, so what. Not many will remember in the long run.

He has his degree, he's moving on. I could do without the parting shots, especially after WSU just paid for his degree. But it's all over and he's found what he believes is a better situation. Good for him. You have one shot at college football, make it count.
