Washington State defensive coordinator Alex Grinch appears to have already started doing his part in solidifying the 2015 class, according to his Twitter account. Grinch has followed several recruits who are of the utmost importance in this class.

The first prospect Grinch followed was Marysville (Wash.) Pilchuck cornerback Austin Joyner, who after de-committing from Washington State, re-committed to Washington earlier this month. It appears Washington State wants to make a final run at the four-star, however I wouldn't expect anything to develop this late.

Grinch also followed Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga cornerback Marcus Lewis today. The four-star is visiting Miami tomorrow and is said to be making a college decision this week. It was unknown whether Lewis has an in-home visit with the staff set up tonight, but I've reached out to get clarification. As a side note, Mike Leach has already used his in-home visit with Lewis.

Riverside (Calif.) C.C. linebacker Jonah Moi also picked up a follow from the new defensive coordinator. Moi, who picked up an offer from TCU last night, is either visiting Indiana or TCU this weekend, though I haven't confirmed that yet. Moi is a guy they want to come in and play right away, so securing his verbal commitment would be very important as he seems to be very soft at the moment.

Another somewhat soft verbal commit is four-star linebacker Kyahva Tezino. Coach Grinch has reached out to Tezino and the Washington State coaching staff will have an in-home visit with Tezino this evening. The Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian linebacker has been hearing from Boise State, Ole Miss and San Diego State, where he'll visit on January 23. If Ole Miss offers, he'll take an official visit there on January 30.

Continuing the linebacker trend, Grinch followed Steilacoom (Wash.) linebacker Fotu Leiato, who will officially visit Washington State this weekend. The three-star inside linebacker, who could also play safety, has an in-home visit with Eric Mele tonight and several other in-home visits over the next weeks with Oklahoma, Oregon, Michigan State, UCLA, Illinois, Nevada, San Diego State and others. The only other visit Leiato has set up is UCLA on January 30. He says a decision could come "whenever it feels right."
