I continue to hear that Washington State could be a potential landing spot for three-stars safety Hunter Dale out of River Ridge (La.) John Curtis. The 2015 prospect, who was previously committed to Nebraska for a short time last summer, did not sign with anyone on signing day. Other schools that were in the mix for Dale included Florida, Mississippi State and Miami.

He'll be making his college decision at 1:30 p.m. ET tomorrow, though he recently told Rivals analyst Jason Howell that he is not naming favorites until revealing his decision. At this time, I have been unable to confirm that Washington State is a serious player for the No. 32 safety in the country, but a source said last week that defensive coordinator Alex Grinch has maintained consistent dialogue with Dale, who was being recruited by Grinch at Missouri.

In addition to Washington State, Dale picked up offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Florida, Louisville, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah and many others.

The Cougars are also looking at picking up a wide receiver transfer. A new target could be Oklahoma State's Rashaad Samples, who announced his intent to transfer last week.

Other receivers who the staff has at least checked on is Tennessee's Vic Wharton and Texas A&M's Kyrion Parker. Wharton, according to a source, is tentatively scheduled to take an official visit to Washington State next weekend and make a decision shortly after. His mother, who's not 100 percent plugged in to the situation, confirmed that he would "probably be visiting."
