UW Files Motion To Dismiss…….

Mostly text book motion to dismiss stuff which litigants frequently do as a matter of course. I don't see much in it, other than to preserve potential issues on appeal. This is stuff that the Pac-12 office should have raised initially, but didn't.

Exactly. Nobody should be surprised or offended.

My company is involved in a construction project that is not going well. We did our work exactly how it should have been done with great documentation and thorough testing. The contractor worked their tail off to get things done. Despite that, there are issues at the project's completion. We received a letter from the City recommending that we prepare for litigation on the project. Everyone knows that we are not going to lose a lawsuit...but they have to throw stuff against the wall to see what sticks and what else it reveals.

Same thing here. Throw some stuff at the wall to see if anything sticks and how we react.
