Vegas sets o/u at 5 wins

Vegas is giving us much more respect than USA Today. They ranked WSU #97 out of 120 FBS teams. Good thing Vegas is much sharper than some hack writer.

I think the over is the place to put your money if you are inclined to bet. If somebody could convince me that we would have a reliable kicker, I would bet on 7 games. As it is, I think 6 is more likely than 5.

Vegas has money on the line. My ignorant and irrational posts haven't cost me a cent. The people who write this pieces not only do not risk money, they get paid to do it. If the media folks who do these predictions had to put their money down then we would see a great upgrade in the amount of research and thought applied.

Agree with cr8zy, "6 is more likely than 5". But not by a lot.

Vegas sets a line to attract money on both sides.

You're free to put your money where your feelings are. If you don't, how committed are you to those feelings, really?

I wish I could argue vehemently that we deserve more, but sadly I can not. Even with what those who follow the Cougs very closely, I don't think they could justify more than 5 at this time.

5 is a push. Taking the over says that 6 is more likely than 4. I like that bet.
Now change the over under to 5.5 wins, and that changes the bet quite a bit.
Either side you pick, you should have a good idea how it will turn out by the end of september.

5 is the push line, and I think that's where most everybody who follows our program has us. Winning 6 will be a challenge, but doable, and winning less than 5 will be a disappointment, but also possible.

Exactly. 4-8 is just as likely as 6-6. You could make the argument that 3-9 is just as likely as 7-5. With our schedule, 3-9 would be a tremendous letdown, but given our recent history (last 11 years), 4-8 or 3-9 is always on the table. 5 is the perfect spot for Vegas to get action on both sides, which is what they want.

Easy money. The upgrade at the QB,leadership on the field and coaching almost insures 6 wins,

Yup and the truth shall set you free. Ha ha ,actually enjoying watching a few supporters squirm as they realize that they were duped by feet of clay.. The best is yet to come for the coug nation. People should be excited as they slowly realize what was needed to turn the Pirate's ship around.,Just watch as the season unfolds and the consistency and wins follows It is a great day to be a coug :)

So the coach who was blind about Halliday is going to awaken and engineer the turnaround. Why shouldn't we expect Leach to blow it with the Falk/Bender decision?

Ah the ruse is that he was a special case. He always was a head case but somehow leach missed all the warning signals. Me betchums that Leach is his heart of hearts may be saying" maybe we wuz wrong ?"It is time to move on from this embarrassment.. Maybe Leach thought of him as his long lost misunderstood son? How many QB's do you know who would walk away from a NFL camp without giving it their best?

"Me betchums?" What in the world is wrong with you? You have some serious mental issues, borderline psychotic with delusions. You combine an unapologetic stupidity with a judgmental & narrow mindset. So now you claim to know what Halliday's mental state was? And this from the guy who once claimed to be "a professional in the mental health field." My bet is that you're a janitor.

There has to be some humor in all situations. I guess that your" cleanup attempts" are janitorial in nature. , They appear to be a misguided attempt to deflect one's actions. No i will not to use a DSM classification on the internet. Your silly, uninformed attempt to so indicates your most probable status as a adjunct professor. I am not the one who should issue an apology.for my actions.I do agree that there are some stereotypical behaviors which help define one's mental status. So go and furthur indulge yourself in copious amounts of food and drink which can be typical of certain body types and mindsets. Please spare us your feeble attempts to impress all with whatever education you may have.

I use the word creepy to describe him. Not the most articulate description, but it's certainly appropriate.

God damn, not a one of these threads holds a topic.

Me frickin' betchums indeed.

Yeah in the defense of porcine bodies and bloated minds. Damn ,i cannot make that one up. The hilarity continues as people try to rationalize the previously unthinkable actions of their heroes.Just think if their hero had become the Rookie of the year, does not one not think that i would have been skewered mercilessly? To be proven right without having to lift one finger is sumting:)

In the last 10 years, WSU has averaged a 3-9 season. Last year we went 3-9.

Vegas just set the O/U at 5 wins.

If you think that's too low, "you might be a Coug." And you should also be arrested for delusions of grandeur.

moron, it's not about posters deserving to be skewered (lord knows, you do), it's your pathetic drivel that judges someone like CH who--unlike you--has actually accomplished something in life. Halliday has proven himself to be tough, and his track record completely refutes your moronic notion that he somehow "didn't give it his best."

Yeah, he is a guy most likely to end up at the top of a belltower. He also doesn't use English like it's his native language. He writes like he uses a Thesaurus just to compose normal sentences, like he learned English from a book. His fixation on Halliday is sociopathic, and it makes me wonder if something happened to him as a kid.

Well thank you my dear fellow. from someone of your ilk that is high praise. When CH ceases to be a topic,i will be happy to stop my "fixation"..If the "normal" you are talking reflects you, about then the World is indeed in trouble.I bet you really do not like "those people for whom English is not their native language." The world would be better a far better place if not for people like yourself and your miscreant mental meanderings. So far,CH has a college education and he will likely earn 40K in his first job which is far below the NFL rookie minimum. As far as accomplishments.i would put my financial assets, education attainment, and contributions to my field on a much high platform than yours . When i picture you ,i see a scenario where trembling fat big city kids in camp for the first time, hold hands at night in front of the campfire to keep the dark night at bay.The kids with trembling lips ,pudgy hands, and tear streaked faces sing kumbaya to satisfy the camp counselor and allay their fears. You are below my contempt and further discourse is pointless and a waste of time. Keep living your lonely solitary existence in which the only opinion which matters is your own. With you,it is a circular argument.

Now if you really wanted to sling mud of a janitorial nature, you could refer to one as the slang term for someone who mops a nudee booth...but I digress.

While Connor was one of my least favorite players in a really long time, I don't think we need to pile on the kid.

I think Faulk will be a lot better and hopefully Leach will let him continue to move out of the pocket and make plays.

If Peter Faulk is still alive, he ain't making it outside of the pocket.
