Washington State picked up another in-state prospect today as Bellevue (Wash.) athlete Justus Rogers pledged to play on the east side of the state for Mike Leach and the Cougars.
Rogers, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound dual threat quarterback prospect, becomes the second verbal commitment in as many days, as Lubbock (TX) Cooper safety Ty Thomas made the call last night. While Rogers holds only an offer from Washington State, he's a versatile athlete that will get a chance to play quarterback when he arrives, but will likely go the Isaac Dotson route and end up on the defensive side at safety or rush.
With Rogers in the fold, Mike Leach and area recruiter Eric Mele now hold commitments from four in-state prospects including WR Josiah Westbrook, OL Joshua Watson and DB D'jimon Jones. You can view Rogers' highlights here.
