Thank you. He wore a suit and tie and the press conference sounded basically the same: respect for the reputations of the AD and President, respect for the tradition of the program, why he chose the school, etc. They both started the same way and he might actually be wearing the same suit.Leach wore a suit in his WSU introductory press conference. Probably the last time they'll have him show up to work wearing one.
I agree with the cowbells. They're so dated.Thank you. Boy, that Mississippi State contingent are a bunch of twangy rednecks and those cowbells are corny and annoying as hell.
SEC is all about money. Arkansas chose to get their butt kicked in the sec rather go with the natural fit of the big 12, for the sec money.Seems very much more scripted then he's been in the past.
Even the suit during the press conference.
Did Leach sell out for SEC money?

He was in a suit for the WSU presser.
And, he mentioned Washington State and Pullman, about three times. Good times and memories for him.Honestly, got a little emotional watching this.
I was at Leach's introductionary press conference as well, this video brought back some memories.
I don't fault him for leaving, and I do think overall he loved his time at WSU. He even almost said Washington State on accident when saying how he was excited to coach at MSU.
Not sure he'll have "elite" athletes. 247 has MSU around #25 most years, usually a little worse, which puts them well behind UW and closer to where ASU/Utah are most years. Better than WSU for sure, but if anyone thinks ASU-quality athletes are what stood between Leach and greatness, they're missing the point.Still love the guy, excited to see how we can change, also excited to see what leach can do with “elite” athletes. I think next year I’ll be the most excited I have been for CFB as a whole in years.

Fair point, but I’m speaking mostly to the offensive side. I believe him, Spurrier, and the others he pulls down there will recruit Florida very well for offensive players.
Coincidentally, ASU with those rankings has had elite WRs.
We’ll see but I think they will take the next step in offensive recruiting.
