6-2 Utah vs 3-3 WSU. Utah fresh off whooping U of A. Somehow the Cougs are favored by 2.5?! Hope Mullins is back, 3 point shooting was severely missed vs Oregon.

Maybe a Healthy Utah was playing a Injured Arizona, and that that's why Utah beat them.

If WSU were HEALTHY, then yeah WSU should win.

But not sure if WSU is healthy, and WSU is probably still not healthy.

Good start but could have had a couple more that were makeable go down.

Defense has been good, even on a bank 3 for Utes.

I think we are largely a "live by the 3 ball, and die by the 3 ball" team. Moreso than many other teams.

That's the kind of team you are when you have to go 4 guards, because of all the injuries, problems in the FRONTCOURT, and because of that, a temporary lack of a post game, inside game.

The 1 is Hamon-Crespin as well who buried 1 from around the corner. We have had some rim outs, but many pretty far off.

Need to keep going through Mo'. They haven't had an answer for him yet.

Looks like Utah turnovers are keeping us in the game. We need whatever we can get with this shooting performance.

We need a reliable third scorer to step up for the rest of the season.

Would love that to be Darling...but that may be too much to ask of him as a freshman.

WHAT OTHER CRAP DOES WSU HAVE TO DEAL WITH?

ALREADY DEALING WITH

INJURIES, ALMOST WHOLE TEAM REPLACED FROM LAST SEASON, LACK OF CHEMISTRY, BAD LUCK 4/29 3 POINT SHOOTING, BAD LUCK 50% FREETHROW SHOOTING, BAD LUCK BAMBA AND GUEYE FOULING OUT, BAD LUCK EVERYTHING BOUNCING AGAINST WSU, UTAH GETTING MIRACLE MAKES, MAKING WILD MIRACLE SHOTS, MIRACLE FOULS, BAD OFFICIATING, PHANTOM FLOP CALLS, BALL BOUNCING AGAINST WSU.

IT LIKE THE BBALL GODS ARE MAKING WSU SUFFER MORE, AND ARE SAYING NO TO WSU.

WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG.

WHAT'S NEXT?

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

IT'S TIME THINGS GO WSU'S WAY FOR A CHANGE.

REDICULOUS.

SHEESH.

As a coach and a team you simply need to find a way to win games like this. No excuses, no blaming refs, no bad luck, stop all that crap and get the job done!!

Yes. This.

I'm not into blaming players. The coaches make the big bucks, recruited these guys, and are responsible for coaching them up.

Yeah like you have had to win, and SEMI CONSISTENTLY won despite THIS LEVEL OF SHET GOING AGAINST YOU, AND YOUR TEAM WHEN YOU WERE A COACH.

TELL YOU WHAT, HOW ABOUT YOU VOLUNTEER TO COACH A TEAM THAT HAS THIS MUCH SHET GO AGAINST YOU AND YOUR TEAM, AND SEMI CONSISTENTLY WIN DESPITE THAT, AND THEN SAY THAT, GET BACK TO US

AND COACHING THE BEST TEAM LIKE A DUKE, OREGON does not count

There are LEGIT, REASONS, EXCUSES.

EVEN IF WSU GOT INTO A PLANE CRASH, YOU WOULD EXPECT, DEMAND WSU WIN, AND IF THEY LOST AGAIN, WOULD SAY THAT BEING IN A PLANE CRASH IS NOT LEGIT.

LIKE I SAID ITS TIME THINGS GO WSU'S WAY FOR A CHANGE, INSTEAD OF GOING AGAINST WSU.

Mikalas you can make stuff up all day and you usually do. Every season brings new challenges, how those challenges are dealt with determines the success of the season.

Your list
Injuries: without a doubt missing some very important pieces that we expected to have this year.

Replaced whole team: this is the college basketball world we live in today. Personally don’t like it but it’s the way right now. Retention if that’s the goal is on the coach.

Lack of chemistry: this is going to be an issue in todays constantly rotating rosters, but this again if it’s an issue is on the coach.

3pt shooting: shooting is a skill set, every player has his good days and bad days but it’s not really about luck.

Free throw shooting: same as above. It should however be pointed out that WSU shot a higher percentage for this game than Utah. So this is just…..well crazy!

Players fouling out: it always sucks to lose players to fouls. The players need to know the situation and try to adjust accordingly. Coaches need to manage their personnel to help avoid players fouling out. With our limited roster that becomes more challenging.

Miracle shots, miracle makes, bad calls, miracle flop calls, bad refs, ball bouncing against WSU, basketball gods being against WSU: well that’s all just what it sounds like…. Excuses! Some justified but most not.

I never blamed coach or players for the loss. Just stated that they needed to find a way to win. It’s similar to what coach said in post game interview. Pretty standard belief except maybe in church league.

Should have figured out a way to win this game in regulation. Down Gueye and Bamba in OT, I'm surprised we stuck around even with Utah without Carlson.

The game doesn't come down to 1 play, but up 3 and Bamba reaches for an and-1 to send it to OT. IMO, that wasn't coached. It was a brain cramp by Bamba who also fouled out on the play.
