However, I concur with you on this one. Major F-up by the school. Couldn't find the kid? Why the F weren't police called right away? Whole thing might have been prevented. Heads will probably roll.
From what I've read the school did have some pretty substantial security (2 armed resource officers?) and locking classroom doors and some sort of emergency messaging system. Probably why only 4 were killed. No idea how the kid got an AR-15 past all that to begin with.
To me the worst thing is this Dad buying his 13-year-old son an AR-15. Geezus Christ. And it was apparently readily accessible to the kid (duh). Oh and Mom wasn't exactly a saint either......
