40 time over the last 30 years?

I know there is one Coug on the board who knows this personally …

I will forever enjoy the phrase, "top end speed". That one has specific meaning & memories for a Coug Fan.

As for the player in any given year who is the fastest at the 40, I'd have to guess that it is usually a WR.

For this year, I have no clue and am awaiting a response to your question, Ed.

Notably, you're not giving providing us with any manner of determining what you consider the fastest 40 time- does that mean at the combine, electronically timed, hand-timed, etc.?

But, I'll play along. I believe Trufant was timed sub 4.3, so I'm going with him.

If trufant was ever sub 4.3 it was a very shoddy hand time. He wasn’t even the fastest player on that team. His speed was adequate but he was a technician more than a speedster.

Trufant had outstanding 10 yard quickness and change of direction . He was timed at the combine I believe 4.49

Yup. I’d guess Jason David had a faster 40 time than Tru. Also a great career in the NFL.

In terms of 40 times it wasn’t Milton … a year or three before him .
Alright a few more guesses.

Karl Paymah
Joshua Anderson (think he was a track guy)
Anthony Buchanan (track guy too…always hurt though if I remember)

Everyone talks about the 40, but the 49 yard dash is the true measure of top end speed

Oh F Ed, just tell us and this stupid thread can end.
Since you are just a grumpy dick....and you can't seem to get your mind out of enumclaw, go get a tug from the 23 year old who is the age of your grand kids and simply ignore my stupid posts.

All not bad guesses...but a RB from the garlic capital of the country Gilroy CA...Alvin Arzu...just kidding, Alex Tinsley. They wanted him to play FS but he wasn't having any part of that.

Yeah never would have guessed that one.
