There is no consistency in the way fouls are called. As I said in a post a minute ago, the ref's are influencing games against the two former (and future) Pac 12 schools. One thing I hate is when a player is out of control and off balance and goes charging into one of our players and the foul is called on us. It is ridiculous.Yup, really bad loss. Ethridge got T'd up today after a charge was called on Abraham. Grubbs talked about the fouls in postgame. I'm biased of course, but I see a lot of the smaller guards in the WCC extend their arms, hooking, and clearing out to help create space against us. Not necessarily a foul but they get off balance and when they hit the floor we get called for a foul. Sometimes it is a foul, but other times it's simply a player hitting the floor or a flop.
Anyway, 2 bad losses against Santa Clara and now LMU. Terrible start to the 5 games in 9 days. We really need to get the next 3.
Yeah, Ethridge has talked all conference about how flops are not only not called against the flopper but called fouls against us. They only seem to call it on the bigger play which obviously is a disadvantage for us.There is no consistency in the way fouls are called.
