We got a shot?

Who is he? What kind of player, recruit is he? Is he a transfer portal? A JC? HS recruit? 4,5 star? How many offers and who offered him? What are his measurables? What are his stats? Awards, Accolades? What position does he play? Etc, More info please.

That said he is probably a 4,5 star an or big time recruit.

And yes WSU has a semi ok, good chance, because of Smith is a awesome recruiter.

And the player would probably be a starter, co starter, 6th man, lots of playing time, etc, or at least have a awesome chance at that.

And the player would probably help WSU get over the hump and make a deep run into NCAA tournament.

And most of those programs are only just barely by skin of teeth better programs and might be equal programs to WSU.

And M State and ASU are just barely by skin of teeth slightly less good, worse programs then WSU.

And WSU's Smith is a better HC then most of the HC's of those programs.

And WSU made the players top 5.

Without knowing more info, I'd predict that WSU probably has about, around about a 39% to 43% chance to get that player.

That is a good chance.

Also the WSU logo is listed first on the list, and it isn't because of a reason like WSU being alphabetically placed first on list.

Usually when WSU makes a player, recruits list of colleges that considering commiting to, WSU is usually the last college listed on the list, when WSU is not the favorite, or when the recruit is not going to goto WSU, etc.

And when WSU has been the last college listed, WSU hasn't gotten the player to commit to, sign to, join WSU.

Just clicked on his profile, and he is a class of 2024 recruit. Having just gotten Yesufu, a PG from Kansas, that might scare away the recruit, because the recruit is a 6-3 PG, altho since Yesufu is a grad transfer, Yesufu won't be at WSU for the 2025 season, which is the first season the class of 2024 recruit would be able to play.

Since the kid is a class of 2024 HS recruit, Smith probably got in on the recruit early on, and probably has a great recruiting relationship with the kid, to have made the kid's top 5 list.

That probably means that WSU has a even better chance to get the kid, so I am changing prediction from 39% to 43% chance to 43% to 49% chance.

Yesufu is a Grad Transfer with 1 long year left so he will be long gone.
