I'm hoping that Kent doesn't make the same mistake as Bone and not address this position.

We need a PAC-12 point guard and I'm not seeing it yet.

Thats because you do not know what you are looking at. Callison will be the PG s the season progresses. The players are still getting used to each other. They will het the timing down and get in sync, Hopefully thjis occurs soon.

Callison is a clone of Ike. Both can play the point but are more 2 guards at this point.

You're right no PG as of yet. Combo guards. But that seems to work so far.

Callison played PG in juco ball and was excellent in doing so. The team needs to adjust to each other. I noticed where Clifford only played 2 minutes last game, One hopes that Kent is saving him for Gonzaga and that he does not have any lingering physical problems. It is taking time for all the parts to come together.I wished that i had a ticket for the Gonzaga game.

I would think that the team and PG's will continue to get better as they play together more and more. It is about learning your teammates and were they will be and where they like the ball.

It looks like we might have to wait on Milan Acquaah. Ike still appears to be as good or the better option at the point but as El posted their is still time for Callison to emerge. It's still relatively early.

He may progress, but I'm not seeing him as a prototypical pg.

Sometimes baseball people cannot see how a basketball team is progressing. Callison is a prototype PG and Kent recruited him as such.We shall see if Kent was right in his evaluation. The team has to come together and work together with their PG leader for it work out.. When they meet"real Teams" they will have to play together or lose. We shall soon see how this works out.

First "real team" on deck Wednesday against Gonzaga! They lost a lot in the backcourt but have a lot of young guards and one (I think Perkins) seemed to put it together in their last tournament.

We are definitely still feeling things, out of sync, and losing focus in the second half. Callison shows some flashes but seems like Iroegbu is more of the leader on the court at this point. Suggs and Johnson need to have good games. Big challenge for Hawkinson, Izundu, Longrus, Clifford against the GU bigs.

Ike is a leader because of his experience and id playing well. But when they start playing tougher teams they will have to play together. At times the team still starts to go one on one and not get into the flow which Kent wants to see from his team.

Callison is a two guard in a point guards body, much like Ike. Both have all the physical tools to be excellent point guards its just a matter of whether they can adjust their game mentally to that role. I personally think it will start coming around for Callison as he sees thats the best way for him to get on the court. I think we need Clifford against GU. I think however he may find himself in Kent's doghouse after the display the other night. He was pulled from the game and Kent was trying to talk/coach him but Clifford walked right by ignoring his coach. He never saw the floor again.
