Eh, don't take a big shoulders job if you're not a big shoulders guy. He overshot his lane, and now he's back to being an OC, or if he still wants to be HC, he'll be off to the MWC, where he'll struggle because he's been a "player acquisition" guy more than a "coaching" guy.Divorce plus a team not performing even close to high expectations. Don't wish this kind of stress on anyone. It's enough to crush anyone.
Is Sark going on temporary leave while on rehab?

Good ol' Scott Wolf.....If I were he, I wouldn't walk around the SC campus by myself.....he's a real POSIt is being reported that he was intoxicated during the ASU game.
There are various backstories to all this, some public, some-quasi-public, some private. Many of us on these boards have experienced the pain that divorce can bring. It can be devastating. These high-profile jobs are their own marriage, and they demand more of any man than probably is healthy. I think the most I can say with certitude, and with not trespassing into gossip, is to say if you watched that mini-presser with Haden & Helton, you can see for yourself that Haden is completely shocked, and it was likely a combination of both content and mannerisms that he heard over the phone that made this course necessary. This is a tough business, and it can be a ruthless business, and this point, Haden is right to take the utilitarian stance that he did--he had to look to the welfare of the team. Helton is a talented guy, and in the end, this will likely result in a deep pockets search at some point...but you can be sure that Haden will stick to the protocol for this kind of procedure....It's a tough thing for the team, but I suspect it's much tougher for Sarkisian at this point.
The Dawgs broke him
His world has crumbled. That's brutal. I've never been divorced or had alcoholism issues, but I understand why some escape to drinking. Life is tough, probably especially if you have millions of dollars.
