It is a great read, and encapsulates how the Cougs play a different brand of soccer. It also shows what smart job Schulenberger has done on the recruiting front. In an era when virtually everybody is trying to play short passing, ball control and trying to recruit "ball skills" players, emulating the Spanish style, he is recruiting "outside that box" for a different brand of soccer, i.e. tall and fast players built for "direct" i.e. fast break, soccer - English style. Because his player don't fit the conventional mold, he has a bigger deeper talent pool to recruit from. Chaplin, Zimmer and Dick Bennett would be proud!
