Probably still stuck with the memory of the last coach and waiting to see on Smith. Compete and that will start to change. All the students must be at buck night
seriously? did't we lose this game last year?Glad I missed the game. Sounds like the team is boring and has taken a step back from last year.
I believe he is satiring the village idiot (you know who).seriously? did't we lose this game last year?
Yes. I was. Thanks for having my back.I believe he is satiring the village idiot (you know who).
On behalf of those of us who didn't or couldn't watch the game last night, thanks for the good rundown. The nice thing about taking good care of the ball & only 3 turnovers, combined with strong rebounding and more-than-decent defense, is that the team can have a less than good shooting night and still dominate like it did, at least against some teams. Looks like the Cougars got off an astounding 25 more shots last night. I like to hear about the high energy level. I didn't think Kent's teams often brought that energy to the court. I wonder if "Vovo" will be playing Tuesday night and what impact he might have on the team. Smith has been pleasantly surprised with his development and early impact in practice. What I saw.
We have more good athletes than I expected, and the high energy D takes advantage. Best thing about our D was not a bunch of grabbing and shoving. Also we never gave up any transition break aways . Partly attributable to only 3 turnovers . We also dominated the boards despite not having a big lineup out there.
Williams is an uber athlete. If he can develop even a decent shot he could become a star.
I really like James. He plays big, but has a quick first step to the rim. Also has enough of a jumper to keep people honest.
Shead is also a nice addition at pg. Plays under control, but can push the ball when the opportunity is there. Not a drop dead 3 pt shooter, but decent.
Bonton can be a scorer, but had poor shot selection last night, including putting up a couple 28 ft 3s.
Rodman isnt the athlete Williams is , but he may be the best shooter of the new comers. He runs the foor well, but needs to get a lot stronger.
Overall the only negative I saw was shot selection. Ball movement was good, but we need a couple of good catch and shoot guys. Elleby showed he can take over a game, and his shooting stroke looks better.
Wondering about Vovo as well but apparently still recovering from the rolled ankle Smith reported. We are going to need his size and length. On behalf of those of us who didn't or couldn't watch the game last night, thanks for the good rundown. Glad Cougar
Smith indicated on pre game radio that Big Vo may be out for a couple weeks. Let’s hope for a speedy recovery.Wondering about Vovo as well but apparently still recovering from the rolled ankle Smith reported. We are going to need his size and length.
