Should be a shootout.

Are you willing to say it comes down to who wins the turnover battle will win the game?

Or will special teams play ultimately be the difference between winning and losing? If so, yikes!

I like that we are on the road. Kicking myself for not going to this game. I went last time we played there. Sat in 75 degree sunny day close to the field and it was a fantastic day/game.

First team to 50 wins. It has all the makings of a high scoring game, just hope the Coug D can get some stops and the offense keeps up. Arizona is favored by 7 for reason, they are a good football team, they have some injuries on Defense, which should help the Cougar offense. They have a great running attack and 2 QB's that run the ball very well, this has been a recipe for disaster for past Cougar defenses, lets hope we can find a way to slow them down and get a few turnovers. And while focusing on the run we can't forget about the pass Solomon throws are not consistent, but he can be money at times and will burn us if we aren't ready. Should be an exciting game, back and forth, just hope the Cougs find a way to finish on top. Also heard this AM that Brock Huard will be on the broadcast, this is an upgrade from Cunningham.

Gotta say that Huard is good. Especially for a Husky.

Huard said he was at Baylor this morning. Not sure when the Bears play.

Huard's calling Baylor-Iowa State at 9 a.m. tomorrow, so that's not happening. WSU-Arizona gets the dynamic duo of Ted Robinson and Glenn Parker for the third straight week. Parker is about as awful as it gets. Already clearly biased against WSU, now he's calling a game involving his alma mater.

I like our chances but I'm fairly nervous. Winning this game would tell me that this program is truly shrugging off the mediocrity of the past 11 years. Losing it would likely set us on the path of a four game losing streak. I think we win a shootout because their secondary is so beat up. I hope special teams doesn't come into specific play this week.

Parker always tries and backtracks when he disses the Cougs but comes off looking even worse. Might be time to cue up radio while watching the game.

My 'Coug Instict' tells me I should feel exactly the way you are feeling and I was going into the Cal game. I felt we should compete but could see them going up and down the field against our defense, maybe special teams, and we hadn't shown the firepower to keep up offensively. Watching the Cal game I felt we should have won it but couldn't get out of our own way (i.e., fundamental f-ups) with Goff ending up the difference. Oregon actually should have been easier but we did find a way to win. OSU they came out and put on a clinic against a mismatched opponent. I understand the potential matchup problems for us against UA but in general I don't think UA is any better on paper than Cal or potentially Oregon.

I expect a win, UA has a beat up defense, missing Scooby, and Solomon not 100%. If we end up losing a competitive game I don't expect a 4 game losing streak, injuries withstanding of course because the players seem to believe they can compete with anyone. I feel they have grown enough to move on to the next game while also knowing win or lose they still need to keep growing. A bit of a change from how I have felt historically. Weren't we all bracing for a cluster f-@%# against OSU after a big win against Oregon? Didn't happen and the players deserve credit but that's also why this staff will continue to prove they are worth market value.

Huard said that he's doing the WSU vs. Stanford game next week. He's an ESPN guy.
Great news. Even though Brock is a Husky, you have to admit, the guy is amazing, both on-air talent, individual, and character. Really like him on Seattle's ESPN 710AM in the mornings, and truly an outstanding color analyst when he does TV. Furness and Puck get the true Cougar award, but Brock is an elite broadcast professional.

While it is distracting because of the delay...it was fun listening to him squirm during the last part of the game. Oh...I really liked how all the WSU were "loosey goosey" during a clear win on homecoming. What a patronizing dude he is.

Wish I can speak the same for our new play-by-play guy who replaced BobRob. Frankly, we could have done much better.
I think Chaznow (probably butchered his name) has done a good job and he actually replaced Bud Nameck. Everyone says and believe Bud is a great guy but I was never much of a fan of his being in the Cougar booth.

Nobody can ever replace BobRob and I am glad they have continued to find a place for him in the broadcast as long as he wants it. He's obviously earned his Cougar Royalty status.
