I’d be shocked if it hasn’t already started. This system is set up to encourage bounties and point shaving.…… start offering bounties??? Big plays, sacks, big hits, traitors…..

I suspect some Collectives are doing "incentive" comp right now. I like the idea of incentive comp personally.…… start offering bounties??? Big plays, sacks, big hits, traitors…..

The real pay for play starts next year (2025) with Revenue sharing. I think that whole thing is a bunch non-sense personally.
As for the bad calls…maybe the explanation is just fewer of the old Pac-12 refs? Seems like there were more questionable calls in other conferences this year, and I wonder if that’s former P12 refs who now work for the Big 12 or someone else.I hadnt thought about point shaving.
I will say this about this season…. how many bad calls, phantom calls, vast coincidence, grand castastrophes did we see influence the outcome of WSU games compared to years past?
No lawyers making calls, no bullshit sideline calls, no Bobby Wade trapping a ball in the endzone finishes…. Las Vegas turned away from WSU this year. Im wondering what fan base got all the action this year???
There’s nothing to prevent both. Players can make demands of the school and also have their agent getting them other deals. Then if the school takes a cut of what comes through the collective, the player can offset by taking his agent’s deals and de-prioritizing the school/collective.Why would a school give up its revenue? Lunacy. In fact, why would the school have a collective (agent) go out and find $$$ and deals for athletes and not take a percentage of the $$$?
The kids should have their agents go out and find them deals. The school already provides everything else. Wanna make money on NIL? Great. Go find it.

The schools can have loose associations with the collectives, so that the collective can arrange the bounties and the elements that the school doesn’t want to be directly connected to. Then if those things are exposed, the school can disavow knowledge and distance themselves. The collective gets a slap on the wrist through some bad PR, and it folds….only to be re-established the next day under a different name with new management, new letterhead, and a new website. Of course, the old website, phone number, and Twitter account connect to the new one, and it’s the same bank account, same list of donors.
The system is built to be corrupt. It’s no longer sports, it’s politics.
