Hate to see him go but he couldn’t get past the others to see time on the field. Good luck to him.

Yep, the post Rolo betrayal/ Chun curse will result in more attrition. To be expected, stand by for more.

Any kids that are upset about Rolo probably should move on. Program doesn't have the talent for people to be moving in different directions. Locker room supposedly wasn't great in '89 with QB controversies and Walden/Erickson/Price kids all in the same tent, and it probably wasn't great in the late 70s with all the turnover then either.

What other defensive players are leaving because if the betrayal/curse? Stone and Jackson transferring ? If not why not ?

Need more specifics. It's common knowledge that Chun axed Rolo -but was there prior assurance from Chun that he had Rolo's back and then shifted gears when the political winds changed?

I still don't quite get it. It was a state mandate he had to go. As the most visible state employee it was going to set a precedent one way or another.

Chun had no choice unless he wanted to tank his own career. Which I don't see why you would for at best an unproven coach.

He had a good run at the Power5. Kids jumped him and kids coming up would take looks away. NO Surprise. Georgia Southern, Kennesaw might be a good landing spot for him if he wants to give it one more year.

Coastal Georgia is super cool. Savannah is an amazing city and only about an hour away.

Will probably retire to that region. For the cold months any how.

My wife and I went to Savannah in February a few years back. We hit Tybee Island while we were there. One day was a little chilly but the rest of the trip was amazing weather for February.

I wouldn't assume every kid transferring out is doing so because of Rolovich.

exactly. Taylor’s probably graduated, has been passed on the depth chart and is 2500 miles from home.

Good luck Willie.

The passed on the depth chart is pretty WDWHA and also not accurate. The #3 Edge gets a lot of reps and we will now need to replace them. Willie didn't rack up a ton of sacks this year but he was very disruptive. He will probably be missed. Now the ability to give his reps to one of the talented youngsters likely helps in 2023 after Stone and Jackson likely depart for the NFL

Played in 1 game and got 1 sack, was he hurt all year. First 2 years he did well so why the drop off.

What are you talking about? Willie played in 12 games and got 2.5 sacks. He got the third most reps at Edge all season and was regularly complimented by the coaching staff for solid play. He's playing behind two NFL DE's, so it's obvious he wasn't going to start here. But let's not kid ourselves, Willie was easily the third best Edge on the roster and it's not close.

Calm down I saw his 2020 stats not 2021. I never said he was a bad player. Geez
