Impressive work ladies! Finish it!!Game over. Cougs 61. CU 49. WooHoo!!!
If CU was projected a 4 they should be no worse than a 6. If they beat UCLA no worse than a 5. Thanks for listening to my TED Talk. The Cougars are 22-6 when CL-W plays and 0-4 when she doesn't. This team is good and probably a little undervalued.
That was fun, and I'm not a big WBB fan. Cougs were tenacious. Against a burly Colorado team. Crazy that (post game quote that 8 different countries are represented on this team.Such a fun team to watch. So well coached.
They remind me a lot of those Butler teams that made it to 2 consecutive finals. They just grind.
Motuga has just been clutch. I can't believe how much her and Bella have improved. I used to cringe when they got the ball early in their career. Just super impressive.
Clark got some really good minutes and Teder was dropping dimes even though she didn't score. Those 2 assists to Bella were huge in crunch time.
Just awesome!!

Loved the postgame - the women asking for Shania Twain to show up on Sunday. She did some Twitter or Instagram or whatever love toward the Cougs cuz of their theme song being her song. Wouldn't that be cool? WTF else has she got going on besides being hot?
It’s amazing how different the game is than the men’s game. I’m guilty of not paying as much attention to women’s sports but watching the last couple of games…they play basketball the way it’s supposed to be played. Constant movement off the ball, inside outside, pick n roll, tenacious defense. The NBA is unwatchable IMO, I can’t understand how the league is so successful. They just spread the floor and go one on one or jack 3s. Men’s college is better, but the women’s game is by far the purest in the sport. I’m firmly on this bandwagon and excited to watch these gals in the dance!I've been following the womens game the past 4 or 5 years...even when we weren't good. We had Bobi Buckets who is just one of the most creative players i have ever seen.
To me, its the last bastion of pure collegiate sports as it was intended to be. These kids are true student athletes
They play with a level of joy and passion you just don't see in the mens game these days.
As I was sitting there watching them crash the set the past two nights and singing Shania Twain, I thought to myself this is a moment they will remember for the rest of their lives...and it is happeneing right before our eyes.
Such a cool experience.

I started following since the Murrell years when they started to get on TV more. Over about the same timespan as you, I started to really enjoy the women's game. It's simply better basketball. Along with what Coug90 posted, I enjoy the game is still position based. I really haven't watched the NBA since the Sonics left Seattle if not longer, but the impact Steph Curry has had on the game IMO is brutal. I enjoy him as a player, just not the impact he's had on the game.I've been following the womens game the past 4 or 5 years...even when we weren't good. Growing up I never imagined if I had to pick, I would choose a Cougar women's game over the men. I rarely watch anything other than the Coug's at this point in any sport, but I found myself watching other women's games as well. Iowa/Indiana for instance. The women's game still carries the stigma of being boring. IMO, it's the better game.
Sherri was a hottie, Met and chatted with her once. Too bad she ended up playing for the other team.....I started following since the Murrell years when they started to get on TV more.
Does that happen to a lot of women after talking to you?Sherri was a hottie, Met and chatted with her once. Too bad she ended up playing for the other team.....
I resent but may resemble that snide remark. Although to be fair I'm pretty sure she was already on the other team. I just didn't pick up on the fact that she was more interested in talking to my then wife than me.Does that happen to a lot of women after talking to you?
I forget what comedy it was. But there was a sitcom where one episode the joke was that every time this one character dated a woman, that woman would become gay. Then later, another character would turn them back. That is what I was thinking when I wrote my post. Glad you took it good natured.I resent but may resemble that snide remark.
