Nice win for the Cougs. I said before that a solid defense and really good keeper could keep them "in" most games. But, as they well know, they are going to have to start consistently finding the back of the net, if they are to win those games, especially in the P12.
Next up is Santa Clara. First away game of the season.
They are a "traditional power" in women's college soccer. Started the season ranked in top 25 (FWIW). They won their first game (San Jose St 2-1) but have lost two games to P12 teams (Cal 1-2 and UCLA 2-4) already. So, Santa Clara has given up seven goals in three games, while scoring five. Time for the Cougs to lace their boots tight and score some goals, while continuing to play "shut down D".
It will be a real good test for the team, road game and all that.
