Anyone want to hazard a guess at our revised revised schedule that will be coming out? What it will be or what they think it should be?

Here is what the revised schedule was:

Sept. 26UtahPullman
Oct. 3OregonPullman
Oct. 10UCLAPasadena
Oct. 17CalPullman
Oct. 30 (Friday)StanfordStanford
Nov. 7USCLos Angeles
Nov. 14Arizona St.Pullman
Nov. 21Oregon St.Corvallis
Nov. 27 (Friday)WashingtonPullman
Dec. 5ColoradoBoulder

It sounds like we will play the entire Pac-12 North and only one other game against a South opponent. I saw one article that suggested WSU vs Utah, Oregon vs UA, OSU vs ASU, UW vs CU, UCLA vs Cal, and USC vs Stanford. That was based on the idea that they didn't want the conference "contenders" to have to play a top team from the other division while preserving the California schools incestual relationship.

Would that lead to:

Nov. 7 - @ Utah
Nov. 14 - Oregon
Nov. 21 - Cal
Nov. 28 - @ Stanford
Dec. 5 - @ OSU
Dec. 12 - UW
Dec. 19 - TBD

The good thing about that schedule is that our team won't be playing outside a lot when it's terrible weather except for the AC, because to hell with UW.

Thoughts?

There are rumblings that all bets are off, and that the P12 might pad the schedule for the programs they feel have the best chance of getting into the playoff. That means, even though we were slated to have more home games than road games, we could get reversed and play 3 home, 4 road. Oregon and UW will receive the easier P12S opponent, while we'll get Utah on the road (as you have in your example).

I wouldn't be surprised if our home games are front loaded to avoid teams from having to play in Pullman in December. I also wouldn't be surprised if we play UW in the middle of the season.

I see them keeping the AC on Thanksgiving weekend (and I'm sure it will still be a Friday). I actually wouldn't hate having that in the middle of the season.

I thought the 7th game was #2 North vs #2 South, #3 North vs #3 South, etc?

Probably the team with the better record (2vs2, 3vs3 .....) or whoever wins the tie breaker hosts?

I think it would be fun to have a rivalry game every weekend.

After Halloween, anything can happen weather wise. Of course it won't be an issue with the fans or attendance. Recent years we have not done well in poor weather- maybe the new scheme will be better suited for rain/snow. However, I don't see our opponents as being particularly built for cold rain or snow either, so it is probably a wash.
