Not sure I would call this a cure - a 30% increase in white cell production vs current technologies?![]()

Can researches get to work on a tool that cures a shitty running game?![]()

The jet biofuel actually is used quite a bit. Not sure if it's the WSU formulation, but it's in the market. As far as I know though, it's not relied on solely. It's mixed into regular jet fuel and used that way. There's still a lot of money going into making it more useful in higher concentrations. Not sure I would call this a cure - a 30% increase in white cell production vs current technologies?
We'll see how this progresses. I've become wary of WSU's great announced research achievements over the decades. Like how about this jet biofuel that we have crowed about for I think 2 decades. Even had it in our "Go Cougs" ad campaign years and years ago. How many planes have flown with this breakthrough fuel? I think, exactly, none.
And the Shock Physics research. 20+ years in, MILLIONS and millions of federal grant money poured into it. What humanity benefitting breakthroughs have they achieved? I think...lets see.... I believe none.
But hey, we did invent Cosmic Crisp apples. Humanity needed yet another apple variety. So good on us.
When we start getting down to real budget discussions, Federal grants need to be right at the top. I have seen (not just at WSU) the most ridiculous shit get funded by the Feds - aka our grandchildren.
Yeah but at some point you fold up the tent. And I spent some time looking up biofuel progress. WSU does not appear. The jet biofuel actually is used quite a bit. There are definitely some things that are a waste of money (Congressional salaries, for starters...but I guess that's not exactly research). But, trying a bunch of things and seeing what works is kind of a big part of progress. And, occasionally you end up accidentally finding something that's a game-changer.
