i'll never forget when bruhn (who had some legit buzz around him as the follow up to green/smith) actually slid to avoid contact early in the arizona game that year. i could not believe i'd just seen an rb slide like a qb to avoid contact. in related news: jerome harrison went on to become the featured back and bruhn did exactly nothing w/ the cougs...

Thanks for the memory! Once the coaches realized Harrison’s potential was great, his carries almost doubled the next year. His offensive line must have been okay. I am trying to remember- was our d not great? We were 4-7 and 5-6 while he was there.

I just checked the 2005 results- we lost 4 games by a field goal and one more but 4 points. Just couldn’t finish those games.
