I posted this over in the War Room, but wanted to pass it along over here, too. Washington State will travel to Nevada on Nov. 1 to play the Wolfpack in a controlled scrimmage, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN. No statistics are going to be available and the media will not be allowed to attend.

Other Pac-12 scrimmages...

-Long Beach State at Arizona
-Saint Mary's at Arizona
-UNLV at UCLA
-Denver at Colorado
-Portland at Washington
-Stanford at San Diego State
-UC Irvine at USC
-Wyoming at Utah

The Cougars and Stanford are the only Pac-12 schools that are traveling for their scrimmages.

Can't blame Kent for wanting this scrimmage kept secret. At this stage of his regime, the less visibility the better.

Believe it's usually something the programs trade off over a couple year period. Travel is probably not a bad thing for us with so many new and young players. Build some chemistry and focus on playing.

Also the travel s important to the newcomers to familiarize them with playing in a different arena. On a side note,Kent got things off to a great start with the kickoff scrimmage last week. The students seemed energized and perhaps they can help the cougs squeeze out a couple of close ones at home this year.

You forgot one:

Colorado at SMU

CU travels to a location as well. Good to go against a top 25 opponent preseason. In fact, outside of Stanford going to SDSU, I'm not sure a tougher matchup is out there. UNLV at UCLA should be a good one though. Wyoming at Utah isn't bad either.

Perhaps the cougs will think that they are in Pullman due to sparse turnout for the scrimmage. It will be nice to see rowdy fans again at the basketball games. It has been several years since a rowdy crowd has been in attendance.
