Watching this game is torture. I though torture was illegal.
so sick of the anti-Cougism on everything. I realize we're historically not good, but ffs if any other P12 team had our resume to this point they'd be screaming "sweet 16" from the rafters. Plus, we ARE a talented team with a ton of good/ really good talent.

btw, this is my first chance getting to watch the team - geezus they are just business like, almost robotic.
I not for sure but the first 6 or 7 minutes we didn't seem to do much subbing this half. We came out poorly but maybe it allowed us to get a better flow.
Good to have Noah back. Maybe a bad shot here and there (turnovers as well) but for the most part good decisions and he's produced.

Nice win but that first half was brutal. Avoiding needs to get it going. Wonder if he has nagging injury issues.

Efe didn't start so something is still going on. Will need him at closer to full strength against SC.
An ugly first half for both teams but we were at least ok offensively in the 2nd half. For those who were concerned about our defense this was as good a defensive performance for a whole game as you will ever see. I think we are in somewhat of a collective shooting slump at the moment but I don't think that will continue.

ASU was so bad I'm having a hard time giving us too much credit. However, 29 for the game is ridiculous.
Roberts/Flowers go 5-23 but hit some timely shots. Add Williams 4-11, so 9-35 from the guards. Again, some timely production from Williams.
I thought leaving the same lineup in for more extended time helped. We don't seem to create a lot of good looks. We have a few players who like the step back. It looks good when it goes but typically it's been a bad shot (unless you are Harden-like).
We badly needed this win. Glad we got it.
Nice to completely dominate that game. Agree that ASU is bad.
It reminded me of a Dick Bennett type game...only with more turnovers.
USC will be a really good test.
I liked how our bigs played a lot more than what I've seen previously from them.

One more comment. I understand why Smith likes Rodman in the game. He does so many seemingly small things that are impactful when he is playing. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty either and get floor burns and bruises to get an edge.
Yes Rodman was all over the Court. I'd rather have him on the Court anytime over AJ. It would help if Rodman would start hitting the open 3's like he did last year. As far as Ariz St. being bad that may well be true but holding a team to 21% from the floor takes considerable effort and perhaps we should give our D the credit it deserves.
I will take a win, no matter how ugly.
