WSU vs. ASU

First half was UGLY. Second half wasn’t too bad especially if you account for this being the 1st real road game and the 1st Pac12 opponent of the year. ASU looked terrible, but when all is said and done I wouldn’t be surprised if they are flirting with a .500 record much like last year.

ASU has some players and played a much more difficult non-con so I was surprise that they came out flat. I often hear how important it is to schedule at least two solid opponents in non-con to prepare your team for conference play, but that wasn’t the case last night.

For me what stood out was just how important Noah is to this team. I heard many say it hear and could see it to some extent, but man when he is in the team flows much better. We really need another player or two to be able to stand in the gap when Noah is out, much like he did last year when Bonton was out.

Overall great win in this early season. Excited for Saturday. Got 15 of us heading over. Early December, 3pm game time, quality Pac-12 opponent, what else could you ask for? Well maybe free beer.

Nice to completely dominate that game. Agree that ASU is bad.

It reminded me of a Dick Bennett type game...only with more turnovers.

USC will be a really good test.

I liked how our bigs played a lot more than what I've seen previously from them.

Jackson needs to keep getting stronger...
I agree that Jackson needs to get stronger but he is playing tougher than last year. He is also the only one of our big men who has a clue what to do in the low post. Efa looks totally lost on offense and Gueye seems more comfortable facing the basket.

Agree on Noah. When he went out with his 4th foul (interesting call but) we went into a scoring drought. IMO, he's our most complete player on the roster. We seem to feed off him last night as well.

Interesting call indeed. Thought he was above it did he. Grabbing the other fellows shorts
