Leading up the draft in April, Brand X was touting Luke as a potential first-round draft choice, possibly to the New England Patriots as Tom Brady's understudy.
I guess you never know about the NFL.
Edit: Hopefully Falk is doing well in practice. Sometimes that can be more important than the exhibition games as far as the coaches are concerned.
Actually watching Falk in the NFL and seeing Tavares Martin run 4.8 at the combine makes you realize how extraordinary the last 3 seasons have been.
Now wonder if Leach actually did a better job than he was even given credit for. Really not much talent to think those were 8-9 type teams in a P5 conference.
I think he does more with less. No question . Matchups are key. Some are more favorable for WSU and him than others . But there is two sides of the coin. Why is he getting a wr that runs a 4.8? Why did he struggle getting dlineman the last few years when he started so well with barber destiny gauta.Actually watching Falk in the NFL and seeing Tavares Martin run 4.8 at the combine makes you realize how extraordinary the last 3 seasons have been.

I used to resent the accusation that Leach's quarterbacks only got their stats due to Leach's "system." Watching Falk I am reminded of how angry I was when Graham Harrell from TTU was undrafted by the NFL despite all his college records. Harrell finally got his chance as backup quarterback for Greenbay and was released after three years because he just wasn't good enough for the NFL.
I drew two conclusions from this, the first is that college demands a very different set of quarterback skills than the NFL. The second is that Leach's "system" can truly make a decent college quarterback look great.
I now firmly believe that Leach really does do a better job offensively than he gets credit for.

SoCal does bring up recruiting a great deal . I think leach will continue to have success at WSU (even if I think this year will be a down year for him ) but he may never hit the highs Mike Price hit .

Agree. However he may get down to 4 wins..it is doubtful he will hit the lows of price
Luke is always been what one saw in games. No amount of QB coaching would ever make up for his lack of Physical skills and athleticism. I wish him luck in his future career.
