That is true. But, WSU lost to EWU. So, I am sure there will be some idiots that will still vote them over the Cougars
Duke coach David Cutcliffe is a very good coach. He turned around Duke and they have made bowl games the last three years. However, they are struggling this season. They had been 3-6 and 0-5 going into the game against UNC.

Several possibilities for upsets this weekend. Don't think BC will do it to Florida State (on as I write this), but others? Texas hosts WV, Baylor at Okla, Texas Tech at Okla state, Minnesota at Nebraska. Of course USC and Washington both ranked. LSU and Arkansas as well - LSU ranked ahead of us in the coaches poll but I want them to win.
Sometimes the record doesn't tell the whole story. Duke is far better than that 3-6 record. They lost to 6-3 Wake Forest by 10 but the game was tied late in the 3rd quarter. They were only down by 7 to Virginia in the fourth quarter. They beat a decent Army team. They were only down by 3 in the fourth quarter against #7 Louisville. Georgia Tech blew them out early but Duke outscored them 28-10 in the 2nd half in a furious comeback that fell just short.
Duke is guilty of what many bad teams are guilty of: failure to finish games. A team like UNC in a rivalry game was ripe for the upset. Don't be surprised if Duke wins out and definitely don't be surprised if they win 10 games next year.
We shall see. 4-6 and 1-5 are still 4-6 and 1-5. Their last two games are on the road as well. In nine years as head coach of Duke, he has only won 10 games once. So, it's possible Duke wins 10 next season, but I would not count on it.
