Good question. He originally reopened his recruitment but there never was an official release announced. I have assumed he's still a signed player.

He's only allowed to be recruited if he was released from his LOI. Especially if he's taking official visits.
Settles that.
Most of the time it probably makes sense for both parties to move on. Nobody's around that recruited him in the fall. No trust built up. I still think it was in John's best interest to come to a program like us but it is what it is.
If there is only 1 spot left, then I would prefer
1. Nigel Johns
2. Wokur, Wur whatever his name is, cant remember name.
3. Cannon.
Reason:
If only 1 spot, a BIG is more important then even Cannon
If 2 spots:
1. Either Nigel John, or Wokur, Wur, and Cannon
2. Nigel John, or Wokur, Wur, and Kemp
3. Cannon and Kemp
Its not set yet that Ali is coming back, taking 1 of the last 2 spots.
At least I have not heard a news announcement:
"Ali is coming back, and has been accepted back and has been given 1 of the 2 scholies"
Also I would rather have Cannon, an or Kemp over Ali.
Basically I want 1 BIG and 1 guard/wing to fill last 2 schollies.

With school starting next month, he had to make a decision of some sort very soon. Probably a good move on his part. There didn't seem to be any school beating down the door for his services at this late date. Maybe he'll keep WSU on his list, although that assumes the coaching staff is still interested, too.

Nigel John: reclassified after he got no takers.

Only one poster complained about losing Kent's recruits. I thought Smith (the genius) had to fill a bunch of spots in short order but turns out he's already recruiting on par to Kent's best classes. Not bad considering Kent's strength was recruiting.
Recruiting has been nothing but stellar for a first year coach and the recruits are better than Kent was bringing in.
LIAR. Noah Williams was, is both a 3 star according to some recruiting services, and a 4 star by other recruiting services.
4 star recruits are NOT unwanted recruits.
3 star James also had interest.
3 star Bonton also had interest.
But despite that, you keep on LYING, BEING A LIAR, WRONGLY saying that supposedly NONE of the recruits were, are wanted.
The only recruit that hasnt had others interest was, is 2 star Rapp.
2,3 star Rodman has had other interest
3 star Marko, 7 foot 1 and 1/2 tall 200+ pound CENTER, who was a U20 Olympic Olympian has had others interest

Funny thing happened on the way to the forum. People are saying that no one else wanted Kent s recruits . Now they are returning and four of them are starters.Hm i wonder what that says about the quality of recruits being brought in by Dufus and the gang? You guys shoud think before you post

Ernie had the leading scorer in the conference and one of the top freshmen last year and lost 20 games.

Kent's best year was his first year, with Bone's recruits. The majority of the minutes played that season were by players recruited by Bone.
