Link below. So I confess that I haven't been in Martin Stadium since GameDay in 2018. So for those that have, what is wrong with our videoboard and lights? The sound system has always sucked, but that, IMHO, is due to the crap that they blast at us, rather than the system itself. Enhanced food and drink? How expensive is that? Go get new vendors. And until they have beer in the stadium, why bother?

It’s old and wearing out. Lots of pixels or whatever they’re called are out.

While I agree with you about all the crap that is blasted at us with the stadium sound system, that is not the real problem. All sound systems, from $200 to $20,000,000 have limits to them. When you push the limits, you gat and inferior sound. The problem in Martin Stadium is they insist on pushing the system beyond its quality limits in order to get more quantity (volume). That ends up causing distortion in the output. A small reduction in the volume will provide better sound quality while still being easily heard by everyone in the stadium. Except Loyal, of course, who has passed out before the end of the first quarter! :)

And of course we have to put up with the lack of proper coordination between Glenn Johnson's feed, the PA music feed, and the referee's mic feed. Incompetence on parade there.

As far as what they are pushing out for "music", how about some diversity? I have listened to music for decades, has included several genres, and a couple years ago it was well into the 4th quarter before I heard a single song that I recognized. WTF? We don't need to hear rap/hip hop/whatever they call it constantly when there are so many options out there, so let's include something for everybody. Classic rock, even golden oldies from the 50's (Elvis, Buddy Holly, etc), country, even bluegrass, progressive rock, Motown soul, etc. Come on guys....MIX IT UP!!!!

Whoever was running music for the Texas tech game last season can have the job as far as I’m concerned. Heavy on the 80s, mixed in some 70s, ignored most of the 90s-2000s rap/pop/dance.

Maybe Ann McCoy and the DJ she hired are trying to keep the students happy so they'll stay for the whole game?

Oregon Stater here who was at the OSU vs WSU games in Pullman in 2023 and 2019. WSU has nice fans, but I hate the crappy hotel rooms I end up in Lewiston after the game. Bought myself a real nice seat in the club section for the 2023 game.

I definitely have an opinion.

What absolutely sucks about the Martin Stadium sound system is when the cougar growl is played. It's downright pathetic! A joke! I hear that cougar growl and I'm thinking "Here, kitty, kitty! Here, kitty, kitty!"

You want to hear some real sound at a football stadium? Go to Reser Stadium in Corvallis and listen to our chainsaw! It's played out over the loudspeakers. That chainsaw is so awesome that opposing teams and fans just hate it. We play the chainsaw when our defense is on the field and it's 3rd down. It's like we have the world's largest Stihl chainsaw at Reser.

Long live the chainsaw!

Maybe he lives a long way from Pullman to where it's hard to get to Martin Stadium even on a Saturday?

Oh Go F-yourselves. I had season tickets for 20 years. Donated to the Cougar Club for many years. Donated to the IPF, donated to my college. Life AA member. I have two Alumni Center tiles.

Sorry if I'm not as Coug as all of you. As opposed to our resident troll who didn't even go to WSU.

Edit - Gee, don't you pricks have more shit to say to me? Oh and let me clarify that I had 6 FB season tickets for 20 years. At times had to beg friends and even family to come to the games for free. Finally gave up in the Wulff era. Oh and also, I had 2 season BB tickets for a half-dozen plus years during the Bennett and early Bone years. Is that Coug enough for you yet?
