I was surprised by how many wsu fans were at NRG stadium, really nice folks-classy fans. Do they always travel that well or is there a large alum base in texas ?

I was there too -- WSU fans represented well I thought. When NRG played the "Back Home" video at the end of the third quarter, the place just erupted with WSU enthusiasm, at least it seemed like it to me in Section 109. The UH band was big and loud. Definitely a UH home crowd and the home fans were loud at times. That stadium must get really loud for a sold-out Texans game. I hope some UH fans make the return trip to Pullman next Fall -- they'll love the low humidity -- but might be a little cold if we get weather like forecast for the UCLA game this coming weekend -- 68 for the high, 46 for the low. "And what are those big bumps all over the place covered with wheat?" "We call those "hills"." None of those in the Houston area.I was surprised by how many wsu fans were at NRG stadium, really nice folks-classy fans. Do they always travel that well or is there a large alum base in texas ?

"The Ghost", Jerome Harrison. That's cool!My wife and I flew down there as well. Bought tickets from a fellow Coug on the Die Hard Cougs Facebook page for a great price and sat with their group. Had a beer with a former Coug OL from the Jerome Harrison era at halftime. Pretty good turnout of Coug fans as far as these things go. We stayed at the Extended Stay America that was less than 1/2 mile from the stadium. It smelled bad and the bed was kind of a joke....but it was a short walk after the game.
We will be in Salt Lake City for the game coming up against Utah. Looking forward to seeing another Pac-12 stadium.
