AP voters off their collective rocker

As a bunch of homers (we should be), I'm not surprised that some thought that WSU was going to get ranked this week. Realistically, since pretty much every ranked team held serve this week, there was no way that things were going to change by beating an Arizona squad that may not win another game this season. I hope that they beat UW, but they have Utah, @ USC and @ ASU left after that. Not many teams are going to do well against those three and like it or not, UW is not going to be an easy out for most teams.

Is it true that Thorpe and the S-R and some other media outlets (Seattle Times) withheld their votes for WSU?

Since just over two weeks ago the Oregon media was giving virtually no credit to the Cougs for their win over the Ducks, it isn't shocking at all that respect for their resurgence will come mighty grudgingly. Many are still viewing this as a one season hiccup and fully expect the Cougars to revert to form next season.

This drama as it unfolds will bury Jim Moore with new material and keep him occupied for weeks!
