If Williams can grad transfer he’s probably gone as well.

Hopefully Hernandez sticks around. He’s got some upside.

Ed, are you including those without any remaining eligibility among those 50-plus?

Otherwise that would be like darn near every scholarship player who's scheduled to return.

Don't you think WSU's improving NIL program is plenty good enough to keep the vast majority of unheralded or unproven underclassmen?

Football recruiting for, at WSU is going become like WSU basketball recruiting under Smith in a way.

Not saying it's going to be as good of recruiting as it is under Smith.

But just like how Smith lost 9, 10, experienced players, and then SUCCESSFULLY got 9, NINE NEW REPLACEMENT PIECES THAT WERE PRETTY GOOD, Dickert is going to do the same.

Dickert is going to lose 27 to 37 to 47 players to the Transfer Portal Overall.

About 1/4 will be grad transfers. The rest will be regular transfers.

Of those that are grad transfers, about 1/2, 1/3, 2/5 will be good players. The rest will be players WSU won't care about losing.

Of those that are regular transfers, about 1/2, 1/3, 2/5 are, will be good players. The rest of those players are players WSU probably won't care about losing.

That means that of the 27 to 37 to 47 players Transferring from WSU, about 11,12 to 15,16 to 20,21 players are will be good players that WSU wouldn't want to lose.

Dickert will probably get 13 to 15 to 17 good replacement pieces that NEW to WSU, from the Transfer Portal.

And that will be like, comparable to WSU's Smith getting 9 NEW pieces in basketball.

And just like the 9 NEW pieces are pretty good, but need time to JELL develop chemistry, learn to play together, etc.

The same will probably be true of the 13 to 15 to 17 that Dickert gets from transfer portal. They will probably likewise be good, but it will probably take a little time to develop, jell, develop chemistry, learn to play together, etc, just like with Smith's 9 new pieces.

Another comparison, is that WSU will be a Smaller version of CU Deion Sander getting 60+ from the transfer portal, except that WSU, Dickert will have a better result then Deion, if for no other reason then playing a EASIER schedule, and except that Dickert will get 13 to 15 to 17 from the Transfer Portal + 13 to 25 HS recruits, instead of getting 60+ from Transfer Portal like Deion.

WSU under Dickert will become a minor league farm team where every year 25+ will leave WSU via transfer portal and Where WSU gets 17+ from the Transfer Portal each year.

So each year, WSU, Dickert WILL LIVE BY THE TRANSFER PORTAL.

That will be ok in way because WSU won't have a TOUGH schedule, and will have a EASY schedule.

Bye,kids are now mercenaries players.. who will pay them the most. As a fan, football is dying and i’m slowing losing interest.
I agree and feel much the same way. However, it's fair to ask OURSELVES, if we were in their shoes wouldn't we actually prefer this current system to the one we all grew up with?

If we had college eligibility wouldn't we like the freedom to go to school where you wanted that best suited your current situation and took best advantage of your skill set?

I'm enjoying the NFL more and more each year vs college football. Not only for the better product, but at least the NFL doesn't pretend to be something that it isn't in that regard. That's all I have to say about that.
