In other related news, it appears that the game formerly known as the Civil War is over, as the beavers are not on Oregon's schedule next year.
 
I would rather forego the game than play it in Seattle every year. And that's not without an understanding of the reality WSU faces from a financial perspective. My biggest concern is that, as someone else had noted, WSU will have a tough time going to the legislature to get "alimony" from UW or other state support if it takes a stand that is criticized as unreasonable. Not that it's fair, but I think it's likely UW interests would point at WSU's refusal to play in this "neutral site" game, with a projected take of, say, $2m for WSU, and then attack any arguments WSU was making as to why it deserved some financial support to make up for UW and others causing WSU to get screwed so badly.
