Watched the tape of the ASU two-point conversion against the Yucks. The guy's foot appeared to be inbounds yet was called out of bounds AND the zebras refused to review it.

I just cringe when PAC12 officials are in control. Them influencing the AC one way or the other would just be criminal. C'mon Cougs, get a start like against UA and keep the zebras influence at bay.

Consistent PI calls would be nice.

Yeah the call against Moulton in the end zone was stunning. It didn't matter since the guy got the ball for the TD. It could have been an offensive PI or a no call. Hard to see how it was a PI against Moulton.

I miss the era where you were supposed to be absolutely certain of a penalty, rather than throw the flag first and ask questions later.

That will be essential. Both teams have DBs that like to grab. So either be ticky tack both ways or let them play both ways (in which case just let Dez go get it) but be consistent. I still think Molton and Strong would see their PI calls get cut in half if they just got their damn head around.

The one time I still frequently see this principle is with holding. I think because it can be called on most plays if you call it too close, the refs tend to hold off unless it's obvious or effects the play directly. The ones called (or not) that get criticized are the ones that violate that principle
