Just looking at the box score from last night, and had to do a double take. Baynes knocked down a pair of 3s out of three tries.

Yep. Boston crowd goes wild when he makes those. He was also 2-2 from three in one game in the Milwaukee series.

I watched pretty much the whole game. Boston had Baynes setting up in the corner, drawing out the 76'ers big man/men. Couple of times when they left him out there, boom. Baynesie got no credit, but they put him on an island against Philly star Embiid, and Aron did pretty well. a block, several one on one stops, and caused Embiid to turn it over a couple of times. But all you read is how Embiid went 12-21 (so what, barely 50%) and scored 31 points. Many of which were not when Baynesie was in there.

That's pretty impressive but Baynes always had more range than he showed in college. It just wasn't his role and he rarely went outside of the game plan.

True enough used to watch him sink a lot of 3 balls a couple of hours before a game, but then he would work with Ben on Left and Right handed jump hooks.

Yeah Tony didn't use Baynes to his full potential, that is for sure.

So, it is Thursday, which means Game 2 on TNT at 5:30. If you were to read the various articles, the Celtics' strategy of letting Baynes take on Embiid and also putting him in the corner on offense to draw Embiid out is talked about at length. I'm excited to see how tonight's game pans out. Fingers crossed for Baynesie to have a good game. But as a Coug an equal cringing feeling that things won't go so well.

In any event, cool that our 2 Cougs are on the 8 remaining teams. Although Klay didn't do so well last night, but GS won anyway.
