"Because the Big 12 media rights can't be negotiated until 2024, Pac-12 schools have no motivation to join the Big 12," a Pac-12 source said

I don't know why reading comprehension is not sticking in for any....namely Big-12 fans.

This does not say the Pac-12 is folding.

This outlines the business case and opportunity we have in front of us.

The Big-12 has to wait 2 years. Any value, estimated or otherwise, is 2 years away.

But our friends from Texas need to beat their chests....

Wow. There's a lot of he said/she said in that.

There was an interview with Schulz yesterday too that said the Pac-12 also questioned whether there was really value in expansion now, and hinted that so far they're not very interested in lowering the academic standards.

I think it might be good to stay put anyways. As long as the Pac-10/12 exists as a P5 conference, our path to a New Years day bowl game or the playoffs becomes that much easier. Don't schedule 9 games in the PAC.... Just schedule 7-8 and play weak OOC games to fill the schedule. I understand our viewership numbers will likely decline but I think we will survive until a merger or an alliance of some type can be formed with the Big12.

Because Schultz and others not named Commissioner George, (who said the Pac 12 is AGGRESSIVELY looking to EXPAND), are NAIVE, FOOLISH, IDIOTS, that will kill the Pac 12 because of their STUPID R1, hang up, etc.

IF the Pac 12 does not at least get SDSU, the Pac 12 won't be able to do alliance, joint media, 60 million per team deal with ACC, ESPN, won't be able to cherry pick Big 12, and will DIE, get cherry picked raided by Big 12, become Pac 8, Pac 6, Pac 4, and will either disperse to MWC, or get a lot of MWC, become a permanent G5 league, DIE, etc.

Getting at least SDSU, AND doing Alliance, 60 million per team Joint ACC, Pac 12, ESPN deal, AND THEN RAIDING BIG 12 AFTER THAT, IS THE ONLY WAY PAC 12 WILL SURVIVE.

And that's why Commish George said Pac 12 is AGGRESSIVELY EXPANDING, and that's why the Pac 12 is in SERIOUS TALKS with SDSU to try to get SDSU to join Pac 12..

Which is why Commish George is smarter then Schultz and the rest of the stupid, idiotic, fools of their ilk, that STUPIDLY, IDIOTICALLY, CONTRADICTING, SABOTAGING, UNDERMINING, ETC, COMMISH GEORGE.

Sixty million per team with a PAC/ACC deal is absolute fiction. If this were true, it would have been done last week because the ACC has never made anything even close to this number. Neither has the PAC.

It's what SI, Sports Illustrated Reported.

And they ACC is probably waiting to see if Pac 12 stabilizes, expands, adds at least SDSU, etc, before the do a alliance, media deal with the Pac 12, because the last thing they need is to do a alliance and deal with the Pac 12, and then have the Pac 12 break apart.

60 mill per team is the math on a shared network and streaming concept. Billion dollar deals aren’t hatched, finalized and communicated in 2 weeks.

60M is based on the bad assumption that the PAC-12 got 30M and the ACC got 30M, so the Pac-12 and the ACC together will get 60M. It's not going to work that way.
